A Mighty Change of
Heart
Dear Elders and Sisters:
My, oh my! What a
wonderful two weeks it has been to sit in interviews with all of you! I hope you know just how much the individual
time with you means to me. Yes, I know
it is always much shorter than we would like but the spirit teaches me so much
about each of you in the time allotted.
Thank you for coming prepared!
Thank you for coming with "ears to hear" and "hearts to
receive"! And thank you for sharing
your testimonies with me.
I am truly lifted, blessed, and edified by your powerful
witnesses of truth, the doctrines of salvation, and the reality of the Living
Christ as your Savior and Redeemer. That
is what I heard and felt and after each interview as Sister Clark and I
discussed each of you, your Districts and your Zones, we came away in each
instance so edified and with such confidence of the powerful conversion that
has taken place in the missionaries serving in this mission. Clearly, you have "experienced [a]
mighty change of heart".
I believe you can and will only be able to serve to the
depth and breadth of your individual conviction and personal testimony of the
gospel of Jesus Christ. As a result of
being with you these past two weeks, I have an even better understanding and
vision of just how powerful this mission is and how much we can participate and
keep pace with the Lord's hastening of His work. You are powerful missionaries! Go forward and share the gospel with the name
of Jesus Christ always upon your lips, teaching repentance and baptizing
converts!
We love you and love serving with you. We are looking forward to being with you
again this week in Zone Conference.

20th, 9:00 am (CHANGE) at the Hanford Stake Center
PPS Sister Clark is extending her acceptance of Elder
Frame and Elder Arroyo's challenge to anyone else who would like to participate. The challenge is to memorize all of the
scriptures in the scripture mastery challenge (with exception of the references
that are complete chapters). This means
all the scriptures on all three pages of references. Those who do so will be joining Elders Frame
and Arroyo (Sister Clark has complete confidence in you, Elders) at the
Cheesecake Factory hosted by President and Sister Clark.
PPSS You may have
forgotten or didn't know, but we continue to have a "missionary mall"
comprised of "gently used" clothing from former missionaries. The price is right - free. It is near the Mission Office And in regard to clothes and appearance, some
of you Elders need to be a little more concerned about how clean your shirts
are, how polished your shoes are, and make sure your suits and pants are
clean! Also, those of you wearing key
carabiners and or lanyards, please don't!
It is noisy and distracting.
