May – A Month of Miracles!
Dear Elders and Sisters:
May was a wonderful month with our focus on Exact
Obedience, working through the Lord's Vision, and Talking to Ten each day and
look at the blessings it has yielded. We
had 97 baptisms in the month of May!!!! Congratulations!!!! Did we hit one hundred? Not quite but we came about as close as you
can. What I choose to focus on are a few
very important things that have set us up to achieve the Power of One in June.
1. We learned or re-learned how important Exact Obedience
is and how it is the base level requirement for any and all miracles.
2. We learned that working through the Lord's Vision for
this mission is the way to baptize hundreds in a month.
3. We learned or re-learned that we must open our mouths
and Talk to Ten or more people each and every day to Find and lift our areas
and this mission to a higher level of Finding.
4. We learned that the Lord stands ready to bless us with
miracles based on our Exact Obedience, diligence, and Faith.
As we went into the last week of the month we had 36
solids, had baptized 58 so far, and therefore needed 6 miracles to hit one
hundred baptisms. What happened was
wonderful! We had quite a few solids
drop and ended up with about twelve miracle baptisms. A mother struggling with
the WOW came forward and encouraged her children to be baptized without her to
help motivate her to comply. Two elders
knelt in prayer, believing they could baptize someone and then the Lord told
them who. Curtis had been on and off again but they went and challenged him and
he said yes. The daughter of a PM family
stepped forward having received a strong conviction through the Book of Mormon
that she should be baptized - even against opposition from her
member/father. And there are so many
more.
I think most instructive is the great experience re-lived
that God really wants to bless us with what we seek in righteousness and
wanting to live our Missionary Purpose is a righteous desire! With that, He is more than willing to bless
us with miracles as we Exactly Obey, work through His Inspired Vision, and Talk
to Ten or more each day. Remember, it’s
about Purpose, Purpose, Purpose!!! Thank
you for being the kind of Missionaries who live and work through their
Missionary Purpose!
Well, I believe we are very well positioned for June and
achieving the Power of One in this Mission.
If you will follow the Lord's Vision for this Mission, Talk to Ten or
more every day, and Exactly Obey, I promise you that you will baptize! Remember, there are close to 80,000 people
living in the boundaries of this Mission who "would join this Church"
if they just knew more and have the opportunity to listen to and experience
truth being taught by the Master Teachers of the great CFM. You will Find them by Talking to Ten or more
each day and working through the Members who know so many of them. Remember what we just taught and discussed in
Zone Conference and go forth with great faith and work with all diligence.
What a month full of miracles we just enjoyed and what a
great blessing it will be to experience the Power of One in the month of
June. Sister Clark and I love you so
much and we are so proud to be serving with you.

PS California Modesto
Mission Creation: We have been informed
that a Member of the Twelve - Elder Russell M. Nielsen - will be making the
assignments to the Modesto Mission from a list that we will create under
inspiration. We expect these assignments
to be manifest in the June 17th transfer.
What a great blessing to know that the Lord will have one of His
anointed Apostles assign laborers to the Modesto Mission! Please pray for this process and these
missionaries in your 7:55 prayer and please add supplication for President and
Sister Palmer as well. They are
wonderful people and will serve so well as Mission President and Wife to the
California Modesto Mission.
